MOSCOW, April 3 Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin thanked parliamentarians for supporting most of the government’s initiatives to develop the economy and social sphere.
In accordance with the constitution, the government submits to the State Duma an annual report on the results of its activities.
“I would like to sincerely thank all my colleagues, deputies and senators for their constructive approach and support for most of our initiatives to develop the economy and social sphere. We together solved a number of the most important tasks set by the head of state,” Mishustin said during the report about the work of the government in the State Duma.
He recalled that in 2020, the president, in his address to the Federal Assembly, identified two main tasks for the future that guided the Cabinet of Ministers: implementation of the socio-economic development program and increasing the quality of public administration in general. Mishustin explained that it was impossible to make significant progress in economic and social issues without improving public administration.
“Under the leadership of the president, we have built a new, technologically advanced and effective system of public administration, which allows us to quickly formulate and make well-considered decisions, coordinated at all levels of government. Implement the most complex initiatives,” the prime minister said.
He noted that parliament has become a center for feedback from people, the need for which was spoken by the head of state, and a point for collecting proposals to improve legislation for the further development of the country. In a constructive dialogue with deputies and senators, as well as regions, representatives of business, the expert and scientific community, balanced decisions have always been born, Mishustin said.
«We managed to get through Covid together, help millions of citizens maintain their health, and businesses — save their teams, production and jobs. The next serious challenge we faced was unprecedented sanctions. But we not only adapted the economy, but and dealt with strategic areas. And all this is thanks to the new quality of the modern public administration system that has been built,» the prime minister noted. -0-
