The magistrate of precinct No. 86 in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Georgy Seversky, fined local resident Daria Rashevskaya nine times for 100 thousand rubles. Nesting drew attention to the protocols.
Rashevskaya, 27 years old, was found guilty nine times of “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations” on the Internet (Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Administrative Code) due to pictures saved on VKontakte . Judge Seversky issued three rulings on October 23, 2023, and the remaining six on November 24.
“The court decisions say that the photographs depicted “persons of the same gender.” Rashevskaya’s lawyer explained during the hearing that the photographs are screenshots of kissing scenes from films and music videos. For example, one screenshot for which a report was drawn up was a still from the movie “Tell It to the Bees,” another was a still from a video for the song Take me to church,” writes the publication.
The girl told reporters that the images that became the reason for the fines “are memes and nude photos that she I saw it in popular communities about art.”
“There was a picture — a still from Take me to church — and it was a meme, there were funny captions, but [the police] don’t take that into account,” she added.
As noted, her lawyer asked for an examination, but the court refused, considering that “special knowledge is not required to determine gender.”
