MOSCOW, April 13.Four weddings took place at the international exhibition-forum «Russia» on Cosmonautics Day on April 12, the press service of the exhibition reported.
«On Cosmonautics Day at the site of the International Exhibition-Forum “Russia” hosted a wedding ceremony for four couples. The newlyweds came from regions with a special relationship to the space industry: the Amur, Voronezh, Arkhangelsk regions and St. Petersburg,” the release says.

Before the official marriage procedure, the newlyweds were asked to choose cosmic symbols of their future families: the star Mizar, the star Sirius , the star Capella and the stars Vega and Altair.
“»All four couples received a gift of a tour of the capital from the Moscow Tourism Committee, souvenirs with the symbols of Cosmonautics Day and a tea set with the symbols of the Russia exhibition,» the press service noted.
On behalf of Roscosmos and the Cosmonaut Training Center, test cosmonauts Harutyun Kiviryan and Sergei Teteryatnikov congratulated the newlyweds, presenting them with certificates for visiting the city of Baikonur on the day of the launch vehicle.

«We would like to wish you that your unions shine in the same way as the stars and constellations that you have chosen today, and that on your path you have only happiness, love, mutual understanding. All the best to your families,» — said Kiviryan.
The wedding ceremony continued with the participation of the newlyweds in the auto parade of domestic Aurus and Evolute cars, which ended on the main street stage of the exhibition.
The press service added that 56 couples had already gotten married at the Russia exhibition, 35 of them held wedding ceremonies in the national traditions of their regions, and the weddings of another 21 couples took place as part of industry days — new families were created by nuclear workers, power engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs and youth activists.
International exhibition and forum "Russia" takes place on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow from November 4 to July 8. It is a complete tour of the country, where every visitor can get acquainted with its richness and diversity. Various sectors of the national economy are represented here, including industrial production, agriculture, science, culture and tourism.
