
ORENBURG, April 14In Orsk, 3.2 thousand houses and household plots have been freed from water, the dynamics of water decline in the Ural River is quite stable, Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler told reporters.
«In Orsk, 3,200 houses and plots have already been vacated, the dynamics of the fall (river level — ed.) is quite stable and continues,» said the head of the region.
Previously, Pasler reported that the water level in the Ural River near Orsk is 650 centimeters.
The dam in Orsk broke on April 5th. The first blow of the disaster fell on the Old Town area, residents were evacuated. The city authorities were able to fill the dam only on April 11. A state of emergency has been introduced throughout the region.
