MOSCOW, April 18 President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin asked the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, how he was feeling after the attack, and asked him to tell how things were going in the region.
Putin is holding a meeting with Chibis via video link on Thursday.
“How are you feeling?” — Putin asked at the meeting. “I’m recovering, already at work, in working mode,” the governor replied.
The attempt on the life of the governor of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis was committed on April 4 in the evening. As the investigation established, a 42-year-old resident of Apatity, after waiting for the regional governor to finish his meeting with city residents, stabbed him in the stomach with a knife. The head of the region underwent surgery. The attacker was detained, he explained his action with a feeling of personal hostility, although he was not familiar with the head of the region.
