BAKU, April 20 Actor Yuri Omelchenko died of a second stroke in a medical facility where he was hospitalized several days ago after the first “stroke,” the relatives of the late People’s Artist of Azerbaijan reported.
«He (Omelchenko — ed.) died this morning in a medical facility where he was admitted several days ago. He suffered a stroke. Yesterday we received information that his condition was improving, but today he had a second “stroke” (stroke — ed.),” noted Omelchenko’s relatives living in Baku.
Omelchenko was born in 1976 in Baku. Since 1997 he worked in the troupe of the Azerbaijan Russian Drama Theater. He starred in the films «Drongo», «Restlessness» and «The Sorcerer». He played in the film «Don't be afraid, I'm with you!» 2013.
