MOSCOW, 22 AprForeign countries today are trying to copy the Russian modular electronic warfare system «Volnorez», before its appearance, such mobile electronic warfare did not exist in the world as a class, the developer of this system, Stanislav, said in an interview (full name is not given for security reasons).
“Today they are actively trying to copy the Breakwaters abroad. In terms of transportable electronic warfare systems, we were absolute pioneers and “trend setters.” When the Breakwaters first appeared, the Western media wrote about them, calling them not less than a “new weapon.” (RF President) Putin,» he said. 
The agency’s interlocutor noted that at the beginning of the special operation, the army did not have such mobile electronic warfare systems, while the enemy was constantly changing the frequencies on which its drones operated.
«There is simply no opportunity to quickly “reflash” a large station, recording new ranges to suppress UAV drones. To solve this problem, we developed “Breakwater”… I won’t say what it is “It’s a brilliant idea, we just realized that we needed the most simple, modular complex, made “in a military style,” said the developer
.The Volnorez electronic warfare system was first presented at the Army-2023 military-technical forum. It is made in the form factor of a small-sized (length — 484 mm, weight — 13 kilograms) cone, which is installed with magnetic Velcro on any military (tanks, armored personnel carriers, boats, etc.) and civilian equipment.
The key feature of this complex is its modularity — the “Breakwater” contains those frequencies that are necessary to suppress enemy FPV drones on a specific section of the front in real time. Breakwater operators install new “cones” on their vehicles, thereby modifying their electronic warfare system to meet specific current threats.
