MOSCOW, April 22 The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow arrested Nahid Guseinov, the second defendant in the case of the murder of a Muscovite because of remarks about parking, a correspondent reports from the courtroom.
“The investigation’s request is granted and the accused Huseynov Nahid is given a preventive measure in the form of detention until June 18,” the judge announced the decision.
According to the press service of the Moscow City Court, Guseinov provided his accomplices with a VAZ 2107 car, in which they fled in an unknown direction.
As Huseynov stated during the hearing, he did not consider himself guilty and “knew nothing”; the petition for arrest asked to be rejected.
“He turned up at the scene of the crime after it had been committed, so it is not possible to talk about complicity in the commission of a crime,” the lawyer noted.
The defense attorney explained that in Huseynov’s actions one can only see concealment of a crime, but not complicity in murder.
According to the investigation, on Wednesday 21-year-old Azerbaijani citizen Shahin Abbasov parked the car on the sidewalk at the entrance of the house on Krasnodarskaya Street. This displeased a 24-year-old local resident, who reprimanded the driver. He attacked the Muscovite, beat him, and then stabbed him in the stomach. The man died from his injuries.
The court received petitions for the arrest of six people, including Abbasov, his relatives and friends. According to the Moscow prosecutor's office, they are accused of committing a murder by a group of people by prior conspiracy with hooligan motives and complicity in murder.
