YEKATERINBURG, April 22Evacuation of residents of all settlements prone to flooding has been announced in the Abatsky district of the Tyumen region, said the head of the municipality Igor Vasilyev.
«At a meeting of the district commission “In emergency situations, a decision was made to urgently evacuate citizens of all settlements prone to flooding,” Vasiliev wrote in his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that there is a critical rise in water on the Ishim River in the municipality, and called on residents of houses located in the zone flooding, evacuate as soon as possible.
Earlier, the head of the region, Alexander Moor, reported that the flood was moving downstream of Ishim, the wave was heading towards the Abatsky district.
Emergency regime for flooding in Tyumen regions were introduced on April 8. Exceeding historical maximum water levels is expected on the Ishim and Tobol rivers. Authorities reported that the peak of the flood is expected on April 23-25.
