MOSCOW, April 27 Russia will supply 536 tons of fortified food to Afghanistan flour, deliveries have already begun, said the Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov.
“Currently, a shipment of humanitarian aid in the form of 536 tons of fortified flour is being delivered by rail to the city of Hairatan in northern Afghanistan. The shipment has not yet been fully completed,” the ambassador said.
The day before, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the next batch of humanitarian aid (33 tons of food) was delivered to Kabul on April 25, this assistance was provided through the Afghan Business Council. The Russian embassy in Kabul clarified that flour supplies from Russia and humanitarian aid from the Afghan diaspora are two different supplies.
