MOSCOW, April 28 Russia has established quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from June 1 to November 30 this year, the government reported on the Telegram channel.
» On the instructions of the President, a decision was made to extend quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia. This will help maintain sufficient volumes of fertilizers in the domestic market and ensure the country’s food security,” the publication says.
The total volume of the export quota will be over 19.7 million tons, including more than 12.4 million tons for nitrogen fertilizers, about 7.3 million tons for complex fertilizers.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade was instructed to distribute the volumes between exporters.
Quotas will not apply to the supply of fertilizers to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The government took similar measures last November. In particular, from December 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024, non-tariff restrictions on the export of mineral fertilizers were extended.
