So, for the period from April 15 to April 21, 2024, the dynamics of beef consumption decreased by 34% year-on-year, chicken – by 23%, and turkey and pork, on the contrary, increased – by 12% and 3%, respectively.
At the same time, prices have increased for all types of meat. Chicken has increased in price the most (up to 236 rubles per kilogram), beef is in second place (522 rubles). Third place went to turkey (529 rubles). The prices for pork changed the least (324 rubles).

“Russians prefer to buy those types of meat that have risen in price less than others. It is most profitable to buy pork and turkey, while beef and chicken will cost much more,” summarized Kontur.Market analyst Daria Zhigalina.< br />
