The FSB reported on the detention of a resident of the Primorsky Territory, accused of collaborating with a Ukrainian organization

A criminal case was opened against a resident of the Primorsky Territory on confidential cooperation with a foreign state (Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code). RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the regional department of the FSB.

According to the investigation, the detainee contacted an organization that is controlled by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and at the same time recognized as terrorist in Russia, and planned to provide assistance to it. Probably, the FSB press release refers to the Freedom of Russia Legion, an armed formation fighting on the side of Ukraine and banned in Russia as a terrorist organization.

RIA Novosti also published an FSB video of the detainee. In the video, a resident of the Primorsky Territory, whose face is blurred, says that he was corresponding with a “Ukrainian organization.” In the video, the man also admits guilt and reports his readiness to cooperate with the investigation. The court placed him in a pre-trial detention center. The name of the arrested person and other details of the case are unknown.

In mid-April, it became known that a person involved in a criminal case of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code) was detained in the Primorsky Territory – the Frunzensky District Court of Vladivostok placed him in a pre-trial detention center.
