MOSCOW, April 28 Turkish Airlines will resume flights between Istanbul and Kabul from May 21, the Afghan TV channel Tolo News reports, citing company representatives.
According to the TV channel, Turkish Airlines operated its last flight from Kabul Airport on August 14, 2021. After the change of political regime in Afghanistan, the company suspended flights to this country.
«Turkish Airlines said that after the suspension (of flights — ed.), which lasted two years and eight months, the company will resume flights to Afghanistan on May 21,» the TV channel said in a statement.
As airline officials told the TV channel, the carrier will operate four flights a week.
According to Tolo News, Flydubai and Air Arabia airlines previously resumed flights to Afghanistan.
