In Murmansk, a blogger was arrested for 10 days under a protocol on hooliganism; Previously, a criminal case was opened against him due to words about war monuments

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk arrested for ten days a businessman and blogger from Izhevsk, Konstantin Petrov, who came to the city on an excursion. This is reported on the court's website.

Petrov was found guilty under the protocol of petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Administrative Code). According to the police, on April 29, the blogger swore in the Murmansk Mall shopping center.

The Investigative Committee reported the day before that a criminal case had been opened against Petrov for desecration of symbols of military glory and insulting defenders of the Fatherland (part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code ) because of the video he shot in Murmansk. A preventive measure has not yet been chosen for him.

At the end of April, Murmansk telegram channels began publishing a video in which a businessman, the owner of the Business Coffee to Go company, talks about his impressions after a tour of the city.

“I wonder when on excursions we will stop showing burial monuments and places of some battles? <…> How many fucking years must pass after the Second World War for people who have never seen this war to fucking stop talking about it? Let's talk about something positive already, fuck? Here is a temple, here is a public garden, damn it, everything is in honor of these fucking superman warriors. Let's talk about business, about economic growth. Let’s erect monuments to those who came up with some kind of franchise,” Petrov reasoned, among other things.

Governor Andrei Chibis called Petrov “a would-be blogger who disgraces his country and his people,” and said that it has “no place” in the region. The head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, also reacted to the blogger’s statements: “Why are such non-humans still at large?”

When Petrov was passing by a passing car from Teriberka to the Murmansk airport, local residents demanded “from faces of the entire region» to get him out of the car — the driver agreed. Later, in his story, the blogger said that he received a call from the Investigative Committee and the police and asked him to come to the department.

Murmansk media published a video in which the businessman apologizes to the residents of the region. It was alleged that it was recorded near the police station. In another video, Petrov stands in front of a detention cage and apologizes to “veterans of the Great Patriotic War and current special military operations.”
