MOSCOW, May 3. A person recognized as a foreign agent , will not be able to claim to exercise the powers of a senator of the Russian Federation, such an amendment was approved by the State Duma Committee on State Construction, the document is posted in the Duma electronic database.
«Part 3 of Article 2 of the Federal Law of December 22, 2020 No. 439-FZ «On the procedure for forming the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation» (Collected Legislation of the Russian Federation, 2020, No. 52, Art. 8585; 2023, No. 23, Art. 4004) add paragraph 10 with the following content: “10) having the status of a foreign agent,” the text of the amendments says.
