
DUSHANBE, May 3, Lydia Isamova. President Tajikistan, during a telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin, received an invitation from him to take part in an informal meeting of the heads of the CIS and events on the occasion of Victory Day, the press service of the Tajik leader reports.
«During a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, Emomali Rakhmon received an invitation from him to take part in an informal meeting of the heads of the CIS and events on the occasion of Victory Day; during the conversation, important issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia were discussed,» the information says.
“The presidents of the two countries discussed in detail issues of cooperation in the field of labor migration. It was decided to give appropriate instructions to the sectoral offices of the parties to intensify work in this direction,” Rahmon’s press service reports.
The heads of the two states also emphasized the close coordination of law enforcement agencies and intelligence services in the fight against terrorism, extremism and transnational organized crime, and at the same time the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Dushanbe.
The presidents also exchanged views on certain issues of the international and regional agenda. At the same time, the parties agreed on a schedule of bilateral meetings.
