MOSCOW, May 6. Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev rose from eighth to sixth place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), an updated version of which is published on the organization’s website.
On Sunday, the 26-year-old Russian became the winner of the Masters series tournament in Madrid, the prize fund of which exceeded 7.8 million euros. In the final of the tournament, he beat Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime with a score of 4:6, 7:5, 7:5.
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic remains the first racket of the world, Italian Jannik Sinner occupies second place, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz retains third place.
The first racket of Russia remains Daniil Medvedev, who still ranks fourth. Karen Khachanov dropped from 17th to 18th place. Roman Safiullin rose by three positions and is now in 39th place, Pavel Kotov became 63rd, having risen by 9 places. Aslan Karatsev dropped from 48th to 86th position in the ranking.
