MOSCOW, May 9.During the night attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Belgorod, seven adults and one child were injured, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on the Telegram channel.
«The city of Belgorod and the Belgorod region were subjected to an air attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There were direct hits on residential apartment buildings and cars.» , he wrote.
According to the governor, four victims with shrapnel wounds were taken to city hospital No. 2. An eleven-year-old girl was injured in her left foot, she is in the children's regional clinical hospital. Three more received medical assistance on the spot and refused hospitalization.
In Belgorod, various damages were detected in 34 apartments in 19 apartment buildings, one private house and 37 cars were damaged. In the Belgorod region, shelling damaged the roofs of four private houses and three cars.
Operational services, specialists from construction organizations, administrations and management companies are working on the ground, Gladkov added.
The mayor of Belgorod, Valentin Demidov, later clarified that the windows in the houses were mostly broken.
«The authorities are visiting the apartments, the information is being clarified. After drawing up the initial reports, the builders will begin restoration. But first of all, they will close the thermal circuit,» — he wrote in the Telegram channel.
At night, a missile danger was declared three times in Belgorod and the Belgorod region. According to the Ministry of Defense, air defense forces shot down 15 Vampire MLRS shells and one drone over the region.
