VORONEZH, May 9. A resident of the border village of Tyotkino, Kursk region, died when a shell hit her house directly, another woman received shrapnel wounds, said Governor Roman Starovoyt .
«The village of Tyotkino, Glushkovsky district, was shelled again from the Ukrainian side. As a result of a direct hit on the house, a local resident was killed. Another woman received shrapnel wounds,» Starovoit wrote in his Telegram channel.
The governor added that the injured woman was taken to Glushkovskaya district hospital and provided first aid.
Another shell destroyed a local cafe; according to the governor, there were no casualties. The head of the region promised the owner to provide the necessary assistance.
The village of Tyotkino is located in the Glushkovsky district — one of the six border districts of the Kursk region. It is regularly shelled by Ukraine.
