MOSCOW, May 10. Chinese President Xi Jinping could try to convey to European countries the opinion of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the need to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible, former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor suggested in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
The officer rejected the idea that that the Chinese leader allegedly came to Europe with the aim of splitting NATO. McGregor is convinced that the bloc will collapse without any outside influence.

Previously, the President of the People's Republic of China visited France, where he held negotiations with President Emmanuel Macron, as well as a trilateral meeting with the participation of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. At the meeting, Xi Jinping indicated that China, France and the EU need to jointly counter the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine and create conditions for peace negotiations. According to him, China will support the holding of an international peace conference, which will be recognized by both Moscow and Kiev.
