Vladimir Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko were removed from the search website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where they were added by the Donetsk department

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and former President Petro Poroshenko can no longer be found in the search service on the website of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Mediazona drew attention to this.

The wanted cards for the heads of Ukraine disappeared shortly after they were accidentally found by employees of the state agency RIA Novosti on May 4. Now, according to the personal data of both presidents, the site produces zero results.

As Mediazona previously found out, both presidents of Ukraine were added to the wanted list by the duty unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the occupied Donetsk region – its number was indicated in the contact information. This happened no later than February 22, but the wanted cards were noticed only in early May.

After the cards were discovered, on May 6, the Ministry of Internal Affairs made an uncharacteristic comment for the department that it was only a “technical executor” in the announcement wanted: “In this case, the decision to place a person on the wanted list and to terminate it is made by the Investigative Committee of Russia and its territorial divisions.” Soon after this, the cards were removed from the site.

More details about who and how are put on the wanted list in Russia can be found in a large study by Mediazona.
