The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to initiate a criminal case against a resident of the Volgograd region who “committed illegal actions related to the demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia” during the celebration of Victory Day. This was reported on the department’s telegram channel.
According to the Investigative Committee, the man showed “Nazi paraphernalia” on the Volgograd embankment and did not respond to calls from those present to stop.
On May 9, a video appeared on Volgograd telegram channels in which a man marches and raises his right hand in a Nazi salute to the song “Victory Day.” According to the news agency «Height 102», the Volgograd resident was taken to the police department.
Later, a video with the man’s apology appeared on Telegram channels. On the recording, the Volgograd resident says his name — Vasily Kozlovsky. “I apologize to society, veterans and guests of the hero city of Volgograd for my actions, for my antics. Please forgive me for dancing with my hand up. I was just making faces and didn’t want to offend or offend anyone,” says the man.
