Ukraine announced a loss of 30 square kilometers per day in the Kharkov region
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk reported that the Russian Armed Forces are advancing towards Kharkov, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 30 square kilometers in a day. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“In one day, the enemy captured 30 square kilometers of the Kharkov region, which was cleared of mines a year ago! And they are moving towards Kharkov,” Mosiychuk wrote in his Telegram channel.
Then the ex-deputy harshly criticized representatives of the Kyiv regime, saying that they are “unteachable” and “destroying the country.”
“They are leading Ukraine to defeat, and therefore they are getting rid of everyone who interferes with them,” the ex-deputy wrote.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Country Politics”, with reference to units of the National Guard of Ukraine, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated from some positions in the Kharkov region. As noted, heavy fighting continues in the Kharkov region, and under pressure from the Russian army, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to withdraw from some positions.
Coordinator for Strategic Communications of the White House National Security Council John Kirby said at a briefing that the United States expressed its concern about the offensive Russia to the city of Kharkov. “Russia may well make further advances in the coming weeks. But we do not expect any major breakthroughs, and over time, the influx of American assistance will allow Ukraine to resist these attacks through 2024,” he said.
Kharkov, with its strategic location and importance in the region, is a key city for both sides of the conflict. If Russia enters Kharkov, this could lead to serious consequences for Ukraine, Kirby said.
