Instant messaging platform ICQ, launched in the 90s, will cease operation by the end of next month. This was announced by the current owner of the service.
As VK told Interfax, the company intends to focus on developing its own messenger of the same name. employees of the ICQ division will be employed as part of this project, as well as corporate services based on the business platform.
