The regional department of the Russian Guard reported that SOBR soldiers neutralized an attacker who barricaded himself in an apartment in St. Petersburg and shot at people.
The Russian Guard emphasized that service weapons were used in accordance with the law.
Earlier, law enforcement officers arrived on a call to house on Narodnaya Street and found a man who was firing from the apartment, including towards the security forces.
After this, SOBR soldiers stormed the apartment, as the attacker refused to comply with police demands and threatened people.
In turn, the Telegram channel “112” reports that, according to preliminary data, the man’s name is Lechi Alkhanov who opened fire. He is a native of Chechnya and has been treated by psychiatrists several times.
