The military court again refused to transfer General Popov from the pre-trial detention center to house arrest
The 235th Garrison Military Court rejected the investigation's request to transfer from the pre-trial detention center to house arrest the ex-commander of the 58th Army, General Major Ivan Popov, accused of fraud.
“The investigator’s request is to be denied,” the court decision says.
The meeting was held behind closed doors at the request of the military prosecutor.
Last week, the 2nd Western District Military Court rejected Popov's appeal against arrest with a request to mitigate the preventive measure.
