YEKATERINBURG, June 4 Three hundred people were evacuated from a fire in a high-rise building in Yekaterinburg, a man was also rescued from a burning apartment, the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the department, on Tuesday at 15.35 Moscow time, rescuers received information about a fire in Yekaterinburg in Remeslenny Lane.
«An apartment was on fire on the 17th floor of a 19-story apartment building. The fire area was 57 square meters. A man was rescued from the burning apartment by a member of the gas and smoke protection service. In total, 300 people were evacuated from the house, including 20 children,» – the message says.
It is specified that at 16.30 Moscow time the fire in the apartment was extinguished.
