MOSCOW, June 13, Andrey Mikhailov. Agent of the Russian national team midfielder Anton Miranchuk's football coach Vadim Shpinev said that the priority for his client is leaving for Europe.
“»Anton will 99% not remain at Lokomotiv.» There were no more offers. The club seems to be ready to return to them in connection with the possible sale of one player, but I don’t think that the offer will be worthy and the player will accept it. This is my opinion,” Shpinev said.
Miranchuk is 28 years old, he has been playing for Lokomotiv since 2013. The midfielder's contract with the railway workers expires this summer.
““We are focused on other championships. The priority is to get to Europe,” the agent added, without ruling out the option in which the midfielder remains in the Russian Premier League.
The agency's interlocutor also spoke about the future of another of his clients — Rifat Zhemaletdinov, who left Lokomotiv at the end of May upon expiration of the contract. “As for Rifat and Lokomotiv, the issue is definitely closed. He is negotiating with another club,” Shpinev emphasized.
