The Lipetsk Regional Court sentenced a 32-year-old resident of Lipetsk to 14 years in a maximum security colony, who killed his four-year-old stepdaughter, the press service of the court reports. As Gorod48 writes, the sentence was passed on former Wagner PMC mercenary Vladimir Vlasov.
According to investigators, on October 1, 2023, a drunk man “during a quarrel” hit his wife’s daughter from her first marriage several times in the chest, stomach and head. The girl died on the spot.
Gorod48 reported that Vlasov came to Lipetsk from the front on vacation. He argued with his wife and accused her of valuing her daughter from her previous marriage more than their common one-year-old twin girls. According to the publication, the Wagnerian “literally trampled” the child. Doctors recorded ruptures in the dead girl’s right lung, liver and stomach.
Vlasov was sent to a pre-trial detention center on October 3. His wife came to the meeting to elect the measure, and she showed signs of beatings. Then she said that she wanted the man to be “shot.” “But we don’t have executions. That’s why [I want] life imprisonment,” the woman said. During interrogation, the Wagnerian asked to be sent to Libya.
The trial of Vlasov took place in one day — the first hearing took place on June 13, and on the 14th the judge announced the verdict. During the hearings, the wife of a Wagner man said that the man was forced to kill her daughter by shell shock received in the war and vodka. Vlasov himself partially admitted guilt. According to him, he wanted to kick some object, and not kill the child.
The court also imposed a year of restriction of freedom on Wagner and ordered him to pay the girl’s mother two million rubles as compensation for moral damage. The prosecutor's office requested 15 years in a maximum security colony for Vlasov.
