MOSCOW, June 18 British 85-year-old stage and film actor Ian McKellen, known for his role as Gandalf in “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit,” was hospitalized after falling from the stage during the performance of Player Kings at the Noël Coward Theater in London, reports the British edition of the Mirror.

It is noted that McKellen lost his balance while acting out the fight and fell off the stage.
