Prosecutor General's Office: Russia handed over to experts evidence of non-involvement in the crash of MH17
Russia has provided international experts with a significant amount of evidence that it was not involved in the incident with Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which crashed during a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur in 2014.
Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General of Russia for Special Assignments Denis Grunis reported this to TASS. The evidence was sent to the UN International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). According to the news agency's interlocutor, the ICAO does not perform investigative functions, however, the Russian side agreed to cooperate based on the professionalism of the organization's experts.
Nevertheless, according to Denis Grunis, one cannot count on an objective assessment of the materials provided . The ICAO Council represents the “collective West” and satellite countries, which dictates bias in decisions taking into account the negative attitude towards Russia.
