YAROSLAVL, June 21Already convicted for life as an accomplice in the murder of musician Mikhail Krug, member of the Tver Wolves gang, Alexander Ageev, together with his accomplices, will again appear in court on June 25 in the Tver Region — on charges of contract killings, according to data from the Kalininsky District Court of the Tver Region.
The Kalininsky District Court of the Tver Region reports that at 14.30 Moscow time on June 25 there will be an open court hearing to consider a criminal case against a number of persons. Eight defendants are listed: Alexander Ageev, Dmitry Baskakov, Alexander Kostenko, Mikhail Zheltov, Boris Ilyin, Anatoly Osipov, Yaroslav Sobolev, Alexander Shirshov.

According to the court, Ageev is accused under points “a”, “g”, “h” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons, committed by prior conspiracy or by an organized group, for mercenary reasons or for hire, as well as related with robbery, extortion or banditry). Four more are charged under this article. Two will be tried for incitement to commit these crimes, and another for organizing.
Alexander Ageev, sentenced for life for various crimes, is an accomplice in the murder of musician Mikhail Krug in 2002 and a member of the Tver Wolves gang. Ageev admitted to the attack on Krug’s house, committed together with another gang member Dmitry Veselov, explaining that the singer’s murder was not planned. According to him, Veselov shot the suddenly appearing musician twice with a TT pistol, after which they fled. Veselov was shot dead less than a year later, in March 2003.
The new criminal case, as reported in January 2021 in the SUSC, is connected with four contract killings of the Tver Wolves gang, committed from 2001 to 2002. According to SUSC, the victims of the gang are the director of the Avtomir store in the city of Kimry, Tver Region, two crime bosses — from Tver and the Kalininsky district of the Tver Region, as well as an entrepreneur in Torzhok — the latter was killed by one of the accused.
