According to preliminary data, the new SUV will be available with a choice of two turbo engines. At the same time, the model with the older engine is expected to be offered with all-wheel drive.
The Russian division of the Chinese premium brand (Hongqi belongs to the FAW concern) officially announced the Hongqi HS3 crossover at the beginning of this year. As it was reported then, the release of the new product on our market is scheduled for the second quarter. So, now the local office of the brand has announced on its pages on social networks the start of pre-orders, although there is no price list yet. According to preliminary information, a full presentation of the model will take place in the Russian Federation on June 27.
Let us remind you that the new HS3 debuted in China only in 2023; it is also supplied to the countries of the Middle East, and the five-door opens the SUV line of the brand. By the way, in its homeland the company is positioning this crossover as the second generation: the predecessor was an electric car and bore the E-HS3 index, that SUV was removed from sales due to modest demand. The “second” crossover does not have a purely electric version.
The dimensions of the fresh Hongqi HS3 comparable to the Infiniti QX50. The length of the Hongqi global SUV is 4655 mm, width – 1900 mm, height – 1668 mm, wheelbase – 2770 mm.
A full list of configurations for the Russian version will probably appear as part of the premiere. The list of equipment for the model intended for other markets includes: 18- or 19-inch wheels, LED optics, virtual tidy, multimedia system with a vertical tablet, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging for a smartphone , all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping systems and blind spot monitoring.

As previously reported, in Russia the Hongqi HS3 will be available with petrol turbo fours 1.5 and 2.0: in the first In this case, the crossover has front-wheel drive, while the model with the older engine has all-wheel drive. The one and a half liter turbo engine of the “world” HS3 produces 169 hp. and 258 Nm, it is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches.
