
MOSCOW, June 27 The teams of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the DPRK hit into one group in the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
The draw for the qualifying tournament took place on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur. The teams will meet in Group A along with the national teams of Iran, Qatar and the UAE.
Quartet B included teams from South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Palestine and Kuwait. In Group C, the teams of Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China and Indonesia will play their matches.
The teams will play against each other at home and away from September 2024 to June 2025. The top two teams from each group qualify directly for the World Cup. The teams that take third and fourth places advance to the fourth round.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
