Dodik spoke about the construction of a Russian-Serbian temple in Banja Luka

MOSCOW, July 7 The construction of the Russian-Serbian church in Banja Luka in the Republic of Srpska Bosnia and Herzegovina (RS BiH) will be completed by the end of the year, after which its interior decoration will begin, said the president of the republic, Milorad Dodik.
«The work on the construction of the Russian-Serbian church is proceeding with the expected dynamism. The construction of the church, as well as the consecration of the bells, will be completed by the end of the year, after which the interior decoration of the facility will follow,» he said.

The church will become a symbol of friendship between the two fraternal peoples, Dodik emphasized.
«The Russian-Serbian temple under construction is a major project for the Republic of Srpska, a symbol of the will of the Serbian people and fraternal relations with the Russian people. The idea of building the Temple arose at the end of the First World War, but even 100 years later it has not been abandoned, which speaks of the predetermined strength of the ties between our two fraternal peoples,» Dodik emphasized.
In September 2018, during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Banja Luka, a ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone for the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, one of the altars of which is dedicated to the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II Romanov, as well as the center of Russian-Serbian spiritual unity.
