The authorities of the Voronezh region announced the evacuation of residents of a settlement in the Podgorensky district. A state of emergency has been declared there due to a drone attack, according to Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev.
According to him, during the night of July 7, air defense systems shot down several drones over the Voronezh region. As a result of the fall of their debris, a warehouse in the Podgorensky district caught fire and the “detonation of explosive objects” began, Gusev claims.
During one of the explosions, an outbuilding near a residential building caught fire and was extinguished. According to the governor, there were no casualties. People are being evacuated to temporary accommodation centers. The road that passes through the settlement was blocked.
According to Astra, drones attacked an ammunition depot in the village of Sergeevka. A resident of the Voronezh region told the telegram channel “Caution! Voronezh,” that she was visiting in the village of Podgorensky and woke up “from a terrible roar,” and her classmate from Sergeevka reported that “a terrible thing was happening in the village.”
The Ministry of Defense reported only one drone shot down during the night — in the Belgorod region. The regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, did not write about the consequences.
