“In case of defeat, they will not pardon us: they will fire several control shots.”
The inability to inflict the promised notorious strategic defeat on Russia caused real hysteria among the Western elites. Doctor of Law, Honored Lawyer of Russia, Professor Yuri Zhdanov spoke about the reasons for the painful reaction of the collective West to the successful advance of Russian troops across the steppes of Ukraine.
– As liberals say, “this is different.” Then we were talking about some local failures that could be compensated for in other, more favorable situations. And, in general, they compensated for something. In the case of Ukraine – alas.
– Because here we are not talking about Ukraine at all. Ukraine – this is so, the scenery, the place of the battle, it just so happened. After all, what difference does it make in whose apartment to organize a pogrom? The main thing is not in your own. They tried to organize an “orange revolution”, the same Maidan in Belarus. Thanks to Old Man Lukashenko, I didn’t allow it.
– About the survival of our country and people. The reasons for the hysteria, and, in fact, panic in the West were explained in a few words, as if in passing, by our president during his visit to Vietnam: “For Russia, defeat during the military operation in Ukraine will mean the end of its statehood, the end of the thousand-year history of the Russian state… And then the question arises: why should we be afraid? Isn’t it better then to go to the end?”
Moreover, Vladimir Putin made it clear and, what is important, honest for everyone to understand – both friends and enemies, that the dispute is not over “new territories,” including – Crimea, not about the status of the Russian language and even the rights of the Russian-speaking population, but about the civilizational difference between the collective West and Russia. Here it doesn’t matter whether the conditional “collective” will join us. East. Even if he doesn’t join, we’re no strangers – remember who our only allies are?
– Nothing has changed in the goals of the SVO. And I guess it won’t change – everything is correct here. Putin understood perfectly well from the very beginning that another “crusade” was being undertaken. against Russia. There were so many of them! Only in the second half of the 20th century – Hitler’s “Barbarossa” plan, the vile idea of our supposed ally, the alcoholic Churchill, “The Unthinkable” (to mobilize the remnants, or rather, the remains of the Wehrmacht and SS troops for war together with the Anglo-Saxons against the Red Army), the “Dropshot” plan for nuclear bombing of large cities of the USSR, and the Cold War itself with the doctrine of the complete Russophobe Brzezinski, which directly states: US world domination and its vassals is possible only at the expense of Russia and on its ruins.
What are the US goals in the Ukrainian crisis? They need a weakened Russia that has lost control over transport, material, economic, energy and any other resources that its large Eurasian space contains. The United States intends to knock Russia out of the top five world powers and make it strategically secondary.
However, the United States is gradually coming to the understanding that Ukraine, as an instrument of containing Russia, is ceasing to be a cheap resource – Ukraine's own military, material and human capabilities are close to exhaustion, maintaining the viability of the Ukrainian state is becoming increasingly more expensive for the United States and the EU.
The United States received all its comparative advantages in the first year of the conflict, and the costs of maintaining the intensity of this conflict are beginning to increase – the balance of benefits and costs for the United States is gradually tilting towards the latter.
Therefore, we have to view the Russian-American confrontation as a long-term confrontation. It will persist even after the United States realizes that Ukraine has become irrelevant as an instrument. As a result, the United States will transfer the center of anti-Russian activity to another country, which, like Ukraine, will be ready to sacrifice itself and act as the vanguard of the fight against Russia. The United States will not cease to be a strategically significant quantity for us, and therefore we cannot afford not to take it into account in our planning. We need to look at the United States as a constant threat and prepare for the fact that our confrontation will be long.
Yes, the USSR was destroyed – contributed to by high-ranking traitors who pretended to take the word for promises that NATO would not expand to the east (I swear to my mother!).
But Russia somehow miraculously survived. Therefore, the West needs to destroy Russia using the same patterns.
And so – their last and decisive battle against us in Ukraine. But again, even if you crack it, “a stone flower does not come out!”
– This message from Putin was heard in the West and understood absolutely correctly. Hence the hysteria. But everything could have been different. Three months before the NWO, it was said in Russian in Geneva: NATO is moving back to the 1997 borders with all its wonderful infrastructure, and Russia and the United States are sitting down at the negotiating table and revising all agreements on collective security since the 1960s. Donbass was just an excuse. But we were disgustedly refused.
In order not to irritate impressionable citizens, the goals and objectives of the SVO were formulated locally and very streamlined – «denazification and demilitarization» an aggressive political regime in the hetmanate, which came to power in an unconstitutional manner. And the physical protection of the population of territories where residents, in the course of a general expression of will, wished to become citizens of Russia as part of their territories. Thus, the Russian Federation has formed a stronger negotiating position. Therefore, I do not undertake to discuss the current course of hostilities in Ukraine now, although this is interesting for a military man – That's not what we're talking about now.
Let's look at the root: in case of defeat, we will no longer be pardoned, we will not be left to die in a roadside ditch, as was the case in the 1990s. And they will make several control shots in all vital organs. And concrete will be poured on top after thoughtful dismemberment. It is no coincidence that Vladimir Vladimirovich voiced in detail his own formula for peace, where Ukraine is mentioned only in context, but the key condition for global peace in Eurasia is put forward. Russia no longer sees any point in fighting individually with every crazy American “proxy,” and the conversation with America will go on as it should be between “tough guys.” — leading world powers. Starting from the origins of our “misunderstandings” like 1997, when NATO began to expand uncontrollably. Our president, in the peace plan announced, seemed to hint between the lines, but very transparently: either the Alliance will go back to its former shell, or the next condition for peace will be its direct liquidation. There will be no repeat of June 22, 1941. This again means that we need to go to the end.
Moreover, Vladimir Vladimirovich’s proposals before the Swiss coven for a “peaceful settlement” became a new stage in a long struggle for the borders and rules of a new security system, already Eurasian. Here, in general, Ukraine is no different; we are talking about distinguishing between two civilizational approaches to living together. America should live on its own continent, everyone else – at their place of registration and solve their problems outside of military blocs and alliances. It is stated directly: the common space must be demilitarized, denazified, and have a neutral status. And the West is digesting with heartburn the thought that Putin expressed with some thoughtfulness. They say that the problems of global nuclear deterrence should pass “through the reformed UN Security Council.”
– They are available. Do we need to remind you that the myth of Russia’s international isolation has irrevocably collapsed? Russia's main neighbors — China and Iran — have taken a favorable position towards Moscow. Even NATO Türkiye chose between fabulous profits and “restoration of historical justice” first. You can also add Russia’s bilateral alliances and the keen desire of the Global South to get into the geopolitical orbit of the BRICS+ structure.
The problem for the United States is that for quite a long time they looked at Russia as a fading strategic asset. They were waiting for the moment when our country left the top five leading countries to deal with China. Why did the United States refuse to negotiate with Moscow at the end of 2021, push Ukraine towards a military end to the crisis, and then prohibit it from negotiating with Russia? They believed that a quick victory over Russia was achievable, that the potential of the 52 countries that the United States had gathered in a coalition around Ukraine, their material resources, arsenals, intelligence assets, satellite constellation, arms supplies, political-informational and any other support would be enough to to defeat Russia.
Western countries have not reasonably assessed Russian potential and the potential of their own coalition. They considered that a country whose economy accounts for only 3% of world GDP would not be able to fight alone against the entire large coalition. But if Western countries have 65-80% of their GDP in the service sector, rather than in heavy industry and arms-related areas, then a situation arises in which Russia alone produces more artillery shells than all Western countries. This is a paradox that the US did not take into account. Pride – terrible sin.
And here, as usual, suddenly, “at the wrong time,” the “mysterious Russian soul” appears. Wehrmacht veterans shudder when they recall the Russians’ nasty habit of wiping the bloody mess with their tunic sleeves and exiting the “we haven’t started yet” conservation mode. And the West has serious concerns that this “exit” of ours may happen without taking into account all international norms, starting with the 1975 Helsinki Act on the “inviolability of borders in Europe,” since the latter has completely gone off the rails.
– The West, in particular NATO, is accustomed to speaking to the rest of the world from a position of strength. Only he, you see, has the right to redraw the borders, which he did brazenly. The only defense of states against NATO invasion after the collapse of the Soviet Union was the presence of nuclear weapons. First of all, the Kim clan was lucky in the DPRK, and Western leaders are forced to reckon with China because of the nuclear shield. Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, Slobodan Milosevic and several other lesser-known leaders were unlucky – After 1990, the Americans directly intervened in the sovereign affairs of a dozen states. If it weren’t for Russia and its nuclear “umbrella,” then Damascus would now be ruled not by Bashar Assad, but by some “democratic” leader. chosen bandit in the US feed.
And now supposedly Ukrainian, but in fact NATO, missiles and shells are hitting Russian territory. Not throughout the entire territory, of course, and with caution. What if Russia did not have nuclear weapons?
– According to a report by the SIPRI organization, there are more than 12 thousand warheads with “special” weapons in the world. combat units. They can destroy the planet several times, even taking into account “everything” in total. approximately 9.5 thousand charges in full combat readiness. In terms of the number of deployed warheads (24), China is inferior to both France (280) and Great Britain (120). Therefore, when they talk about the imminent return of Taiwan under the wing of mainland China, it is worth remembering the strategic imbalance with NATO countries in nuclear weapons. The United States has 1,770 warheads in “launch now” condition. Russia is a little smaller – 1710 products.
– Over the two-plus years of the special military operation, the situation in the world has predictably descended into mutual intimidation with nuclear weapons. Because there’s simply nothing else to scare each other with. But, characteristically, neither side has yet crossed the “red lines,” as was the case, for example, during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. The situation currently does not pose an existential threat to either side of the conflict. To be honest, there is nothing critical right now even for a pawn in this game – Ukraine.
Now Russia's main goal is to build up the strike potential of the nuclear triad to a point where peace initiatives can be dictated to the West from a position of strength. Much like Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev did in his time, during whose reign the Soviet Army reached the peak of its power. This Secretary General was much more effective in squeezing the interests of the Americans than his predecessor, who almost brought the world to the brink of disaster.
How long will the nuclear escalation between Russia and the West last? On the one hand, many argue that weapons of mass destruction have never been so significant since the Cold War. On the other hand, neither side has even tried to demonstrate determination to strike first. For example, recall the possibility of resuming nuclear tests somewhere on Novaya Zemlya or an abandoned atoll. Despite all the hysteria and the Doomsday Clock moving ever closer to midnight, the mutual grinding of the two nuclear superpowers will eventually end in a kind of balance that was not observed in February 2022. And Ukraine will have nothing to do with it.
