The administration of prison hospital No. 11 in Omsk six days later allowed lawyers to visit politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, his condition is “relatively stable,” said lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.
“Vladimir Kara-Murza was placed in Omsk Hospital No. 11 of the FSIN system for a medical examination, but the reasons for ordering this examination are currently being clarified by lawyers,” he added.
In April 2023, the Moscow City Court sentenced Kara-Murza to 25 years in a maximum security colony. The politician was diagnosed with polyneuropathy; this disease is included in the list of diseases that prevent serving a sentence.
In 2015 and 2017, Kara-Murza was hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning. Investigators from Bellingcat found that before the first poisoning, Kara-Murza was monitored by FSB officers, including the alleged participant in the poisoning of Alexei Navalny, Konstantin Kudryavtsev. The Investigative Committee has consistently refused to open cases of poisoning.
