On the sidelines of the NATO summit in In Washington, Defense Ministers of Greece Nikos Dendias, Bulgaria Atanas Zapryanov and Romania Angel Tylvar signed an agreement to create a military corridor on the eastern flank of the alliance. “Together with my colleagues from Bulgaria and Romania, Mr. Atanas Zapryanov and Mr. Angel Tylvar, respectively, we today signed a letter of intent (LoI) to establish a harmonized military mobility corridor. On my initiative, in the fall we plan to hold a trilateral meeting in Alexandroupolis to discuss steps to implement the proposed measures,” Dendias wrote on his social network account. The creation of this military corridor, which will pass through the eastern wing of NATO, according to information from the Kathimerini publication, will strengthen the position of Greece, especially the cities of Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli.
