MOSCOW, July 11 One of the prospects of the digital ruble is to help resolve the problems of cross-border settlements, said VTB First Deputy Chairman Dmitry Pyanov in an interview.
“One of the prospects of the Russian digital ruble is to help resolve the problems of cross-border settlements,” he said. 
Pyanov noted that there is no likelihood of a complete transition of the market to settlements in the digital ruble in the near future.
The top manager also added that investments in the digital ruble are now less than investments in artificial intelligence and no one can give accurate forecasts regarding the return on investment.
«If there is an interface for cross-border settlements between two, three or more countries in the digital ruble, digital yuan, and other currencies, if settlements are protected, invisible to other counterparties, conversion at a favorable rate, then almost any investment will pay off handsomely» — concluded Pyanov.
