ST. PETERSBURG, July 11. The work of parliaments will be more in demand than ever to overcome difficulties in the international arena, since such instruments are often the only ones for building dialogue, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The President on Thursday held a meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS Parliamentary Forum with the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania Tulia Exxon.
«The work of representatives of representative bodies of power, I apologize for the tautology, it is extremely in demand in general. Well, as for overcoming difficulties in the international arena, solving complex problems, it will be in demand more than ever, bearing in mind that often the instruments of parliaments are the only ones for building a dialogue between those who are interested in resolving certain issues,” Putin said during the conversation.
