MOSCOW, July 14 US presidential candidate Donald Trump is waiting victory in the election after an attempt on his life, Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden said in an interview with Politico.

“Trump survived the attack — and he just won the election,” the politician told reporters.
As observers have pointed out, other representatives of the US Republican Party also believed that this incident would significantly affect Trump's chances of winning the presidential election.
Donald Trump interrupted his public appearance on Saturday performance in Pennsylvania due to the shooting. The video footage shows the politician being taken away by the arm by security; his ear was bloodied. Trump later said he was shot in the ear and had lost a lot of blood.
The US Secret Service said it had killed the suspect, who fired several times towards the stage. One of the spectators was killed in the shooting, two more were critically injured.
The US presidential elections will be held on November 5.
