The old name was revived for a variant of the KGM Torres model. It is assumed that the “coupe” will be offered with a gasoline turbo engine.
We first saw this SUV from the Korean company KG Mobility (KGM), that is, the former SsangYong, in the form of a prototype on promotional videos back in February. Then the car was known under the internal factory index J120, and local media dubbed it Torres Coupe, because the “regular” Torres, which has been on sale since 2022, was taken as the basis. Now KGM has distributed a photo of the production model and announced its brand name. The Korean media were not mistaken with the positioning — the manufacturer considers its new product a coupe-shaped crossover. But it has a different name: for the “coupe” the name Actyon was revived.

And this SsangYong Actyon was then sold in foreign markets, including Russia. In its native Korea, the model bore the name Korando C 3/3
Let us remember that the very first SsangYong Actyon debuted in 2005, and that SUV really had a “cluttered” silhouette, as well as a rather original design. Later, the name Actyon was assigned to an export SUV with a traditional body and standard appearance (in Korea it was the Korando C).

The fresh KGM crossover can be called a coupe-like one with a big stretch. Be that as it may, this Actyon is different from the donor Torres. The new product has a different design for the rear pillars, there are original lights at the rear, plus additional horizontal stripes have appeared on the tailgate. In addition, the model received new running lights: they were made in the form of curved lines, which are united by a luminous panel.

The interior of the new SUV is not exposed. Most likely, a scoreboard was installed inside — both the petrol KGM Torres and the electric Torres EVX have dual screens (the “green” version has its own exterior design).
The dimensions of the new KGM Actyon have not yet been disclosed. The length of the petrol Torres is 4705 mm, the electric version EVX is 4715 mm. The wheelbase of these cars is the same — 2680 mm.

The manufacturer has not yet talked about the coupe technology either. Korean media write that, like the “hydrocarbon” Torres, the Actyon will be offered with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 170 hp. and a classic six-speed automatic transmission. The new model has all-wheel drive. However, there is another version: they say that the new SUV will be available as a hybrid.
