In the Volgograd region, a participant in the war in Ukraine was detained, who shot at children in the Ugolsky farm. This was reported by V1.ru with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies and relatives of the child who was injured.
On the evening of July 12, children aged 9-13 years old were walking around the farm with a music speaker, a relative of the injured boy told reporters. As they passed a house where there were two brothers who had fought in the war, one of the girls heard “the sound of a gun being reloaded” and the children ran.
The company reached the fence of the neighboring house, there was no one behind, the children calmed down. After this the shooting began. According to a V1.ru source, one of the war participants shot, and the children recognized him. As a result, a 12-year-old boy was wounded — he saw blood on his leg and called his mother, who came to the scene of the shooting and called an ambulance.
V1.ru's interlocutor claims that the child was diagnosed with a through-and-through bullet wound to the leg and is in the hospital. According to the Volgograd telegram channel, the boy was shot twice.
The child's relatives said that at the scene of the shooting, police found shell casings from a carbine and a Makarov pistol. According to them, the security forces handed over the collected materials to the military prosecutor's office. There was nothing reported about the shooting. The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Arguments and Facts that the incident was being investigated by the Investigative Committee, but they did not confirm this data to the newspaper.
V1.ru writes that the detainee is 48 years old. The head of the Otrozhkinsky rural settlement, Galina Konovalova, told reporters that he returned from the war to the farm because he was wounded at the front.
