Kommersant: The Moscow Garrison Court arrested the ex-supplier of uniforms for the Russian Guard
The General Director of Spetsshveisnab LLC, which previously supplied uniforms to the Russian Guard, Igor Shalnov was arrested by decision of the Moscow Garrison Military Court. The ex-head of the enterprise was placed in a pre-trial detention center in Chelyabinsk, Kommersant reports.
The source writes that previously a criminal case was opened against Shalny under an article of fraud. Also involved in this case was the Deputy Director of the Russian Guard for Logistics, Sergei Mileiko. The damage amounted to millions of rubles.
The former law enforcement officer is already serving his sentence — he was convicted of real estate fraud. Shalnov was at large and was detained by officers of the Federal Security Service in Ufa on the night of July 4th. He was transferred to Chelyabinsk.
According to new materials of the case, Shalnov is accused of giving a large bribe to employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. They were supposed to provide him with “patronage” when concluding contracts for sewing uniforms for the Federal Penitentiary Service.
It is stated that Igor Shalnov does not admit his guilt.
Earlier it became known about the arrest of new assets of former employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, accused in absentia of receiving a five billion bribe.
