“The company’s specialists discovered a scheme in which scammers send Russian users links to a phishing resource for authorization in the service. Through it, allegedly, you can withdraw coins from the sensational game Hamster Kombat and convert them into rubles. However, to do this, you need to log in to Telegram — enter your credentials on the page that opens. In fact, in this way, attackers steal access to personal accounts in the messenger,” the company said. 
Olga Svistunova, senior content analyst at Kaspersky Lab, added that in this scheme, the scammers claimed that the payment should occur within 15 minutes after successful authorization in Telegram. According to her, to protect your account, it is important to set up two-factor authentication and not click on links from dubious messages.
It is noted that in the first half of the year, the number of attempts by Russian users to switch to various phishing resources that mimic Telegram increased by 22% compared to the same period last year.
