MOSCOW, July 16 Energy consumption restrictions of 1.5 GW were introduced in the power system of the south of the Russian Federation due to a failure in the operation of the generating equipment of the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation reported.
“»In the power system of the South of Russia, due to a failure in the operation of generating equipment at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant, in conditions of increased loads on the power system, in order to maintain the stability of the power system, temporary schedules for limiting consumption by 1.5 GW were introduced,” the message says.
