WASHINGTON, July 18 China may overtake the US and their armed forces to innovate unless the Pentagon makes necessary reforms, former Joint Forces chief Adm. Mike Mullen said Wednesday.
«If we don't do them, and we don't do them well, China will beat us in this area,» a retired military official said during a panel on Pentagon military innovation.
He expressed confidence that the US military needs to introduce long-term mechanisms to encourage innovative developments that will allow the US to keep up with its competitors in the coming decades.
