MOSCOW, July 18 High concentrations of radon were found in chambers in HMP Dartmoor prison in the English county of Devon, the evacuation of more than 170 prisoners is planned, Sky News reported.
«HMP Dartmoor prison was closed due to high levels of radon not only in the cells, but also in the corridors (ed.),» the TV channel quotes the general secretary of the Prison Officers' Association (POA) Steve Gillan.
According to the television station, 175 jail inmates will be moved to another county jail in the next two weeks.
